The 15th Graduation Day of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, was held on August 18, 2018. Students numbering 1603 from the disciplines of Engineering, Business, Arts & Sciences, Mass Communication and Social Work received their degrees. This included 16 PhDs, as well as 65 medalists and rank-holders.
Sampujya Swami Amritageetananda Puri, a senior disciple of Chancellor Amma, delivered the benedictory address. Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) delivered the graduation day address. Dr. Shankar Venugopal, Vice-President, Mahindra and Mahindra was the guest of honor. Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean-Engineering; Prof. C. Parameswaran, Director-Corporate & Industry Relations and Dr. Raghu Raman, Chairman, School of Business, participated in the graduation day proceedings.
All graduates were administered the oath: “I, hereby, solemnly declare and promise that I will, in my thoughts, words and deeds, uphold the ideals of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and commit myself to serving my motherland India, Mother Nature and mankind with love, trust, tolerance and humility.”
