Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences (AmritaSSBS), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, participated in the BRICS Business Council Summit 2026 held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, New Delhi. The summit brought together representatives and stakeholders from across BRICS nations to discuss issues shaping economic growth, technology, sustainability, innovation, skills and human development.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was represented by Dr. Bhavani Rao R., Dean, Amrita School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, and Dr. Victoria Ustenko, Associate Professor, Department of Social Sciences, AmritaSSBS, Amritapuri.

Bringing a Human Perspective to Global Discussions

AmritaSSBS’s participation brought the perspective of social and behavioural sciences to conversations that often focus on technology, economics and innovation. The discussions also highlighted the importance of understanding how these changes affect people, communities and society.
