The 13th convocation of Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore was held on 21 August 2016. On the occasion, MBA and Ph.D. degrees were conferred upon 74 students from Class of 2016.
Gobi Jagan, who is working at Tata Consultancy Service, bagged the gold medal for the year. Ms. Arun Preethi, Research Executive Trainee, TNS Research international, received the silver medal. The first and second rank holders received their medals and degrees from the Chief Guest Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and Sampujya Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, President, Board of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham respectively.
“At this moment, I would like to thank my family, beloved faculty of Amrita School of Business, my dear friends for their wishes and blessings that helped me achieve this feat,” said Gobi Jagan.
Commenting on the convocation ceremony, Dr. R. They have now joined our diaspora of alumni around the globe who adorns the top-notch positions in the corporate world. They are our ambassadors and their action speaks our quality.”
On the convocation eve, the new alumni also held an interaction session with the current second-year students to guide them on the placements and career.
