Days 2 and 3 were devoted to an intensive hands-on workshop on Implant-Retained Auricular Prostheses, attracting 50 delegates from across the country. Participants received comprehensive training through live patient demonstrations of every clinical and laboratory step, including treatment planning, implant positioning, digital face scanning, virtual reality-assisted case planning, impression procedures, prosthesis fabrication, characterization, and retention protocols.
A landmark achievement of MAXFAC 2026 was the record-breaking fabrication of 50 implant-retained silicone auricular prostheses within just one and a half days. Delegates had the unique opportunity to witness and actively participate in the complete workflow—from planning and design to fabrication and delivery. The integration of emerging technologies, including virtual reality-based treatment planning and live face-scanning demonstrations, provided invaluable exposure to the future of maxillofacial rehabilitation.
