Amrita's Success Story from Singapore-India Hackathon 2018

The 'Team Vision' and 'Team Exalt', two student hackathon teams from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, showcased outstanding performances and secured a prominent position among top 20 teams that represented India, in the 30 hour Singapore-India Hackathon 2018.

Faculty Member Wins ‘Innovative Teacher Award'

On January 4, 2019, Dr. Balamurugan S., Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has been awarded ‘National Innovative Teacher Award' by the Honourable Minister of HRD, Shri. Prakash Javadekar, at a national awards ceremony conducted in New Delhi.

Amrita's Student Team Vision Creates Success in Hackathons Around the World

A bunch of engineering students from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, have been storming hackathons all over the region with their tech-infused ideas and ‘cool’ coding. The team created some magic through their prototypes and apps that have earned them spectacular success in several hackathons around the world. Sakthisree Venkatesan, Anupam Rajanish, Yeshwanth Sripathy, Vijey Shrivatsan — all below the age of 20 years and in the third year of BTech CSE — formed the group, Team Vision, to explore the endless possibilities technology has been creating for humankind and make efficient use of it.

Student Secures IUSSTF-Viterbi Research Internship at University of Southern California

It was another proud moment for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham as Mr. Vijey Shrivathsan, B. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) 2016-2020 batch from Coimbatore campus became the first student from Amrita to secure the coveted IUSSTF-Viterbi research internship.
