Amrita IQAC Chair Conducts Faculty Development Program at Bengaluru

As part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)’s knowledge exchange initiative and sharing of best practices of Amrita with other higher educational institutions, Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Chairman, IQAC, addressed 75+ faculty members from various departments of St. Claret College, Bengaluru, in a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovative Teaching Practices from August 17-18, 2019.

In yet another successful demonstration of the innovation ecosystem at Amrita, student teams, 'Unorthodox Inc' and 'Yorkers' from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, have made a mark in international hackathons and secured top ranks. Unorthodox Inc. was ranked in the top 25 out of 10,000 teams worldwide in the 7th edition of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) EngiNX 2019 engineering design & innovation contest.

The School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has earned the distinction of the only Indian institution to find a place in the prestigious United Nations Sustainable Literacy Test (Sulitest) which evaluates knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among students in higher education.

Amrita School of Business has figured prominently in the annual report released by the UN on the basis of the number of tests taken per academic organisation, according to Chairman Dr. Raghu Raman, who represented it at this annual event at the UN.
