Only God can create perfection, but we consider the bone graft creation happened only with the aid of God’s hand. Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine (ACNSMM), under Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, developed a regenerative bone known as the Nanotex Bone, a porous and biodegradable synthetic graft that can facilitate bone augmentation. A milestone victory with the capability of transforming the lives of millions of people, the product has been applied for clinical testing on humans. Development of the Nanotex Bone is supported by BIRAC of the Government of India. The research team includes Prof. Shantikumar V Nair, the Dean of Nanosciences at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Prof. Manitha B Nair and Prof. Deepthy Menon of Amrita Center for Nanosciences & Molecular Medicine, Prof. Subramania Iyer of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), and Prof. Manju V of Amrita School of Dentistry. In addition to that, receiving 3 more new patents this year became the cherry on the cake. The pandemic didn’t stop the ACNSMM family from working towards the betterment of the world, during the last two years (2020 and 2021), ACNSMM bagged a total of 11 patents. Introducing the 3 new patents,
On this International Day of Science, what more can the ACNSMM family be grateful for, we stand today with immense satisfaction and delight. Science has always been the bridge that has connected humans in the path towards virtue and rectitude. Keeping up with the vision of our beloved Chancellor, Shri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, the ACNSMM family is really proud to be a torchbearer of inventions and innovations in the educational sector that can ease the lives of millions! Shraddhavan Labhathe Jnanam!
