Aarohan Science Fest for School Students Held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus, hosted the 12th edition of Aarohan Science Fest for students from Classes 8 to 12. The two-day event saw enthusiastic participation from over 2,500 students representing 30 schools across Bengaluru.

The fest was inaugurated by Dr. H. S. Nagaraja, Founder of the Prayoga Institute of Education Research. Dr. P. Manoj, Director, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus, delivered the welcome address, while Dr. E. A. Gopalakrishnan, Principal, School of Computing, shared his thoughts on the importance of nurturing scientific curiosity among young minds.

The event featured a wide range of competitions, workshops, fun activities, and project exhibitions across junior and senior categories, showcasing students’ creativity and problem-solving skills. Innovative models included robotic arms, environmental sensors, and other prototypes designed to address real-world challenges.

SSRVM Bengaluru emerged as the Overall Champion, winning the trophy for the Best Performing School at the fest.

Organizers noted that student participation had grown significantly compared to previous years, with winners receiving prizes worth ₹2 lakh. The festival also featured special exhibits by the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, inspiring students to explore science and technology through a national service perspective.
