International Day of Yoga 2026 Celebrated Across Amrita RITE Centres

Amrita RITE rural education centres enthusiastically celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2026 across 21 centres in 10 states of India. The programme brought together 387 participants, including students and community members, in a collective effort to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through yoga.

The celebration began with meditation and devotional bhajans, creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere for participants. This was followed by an awareness session highlighting the importance of yoga and its benefits for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Students learned how regular yoga practice can improve concentration, reduce stress, and support overall health.

The programme concluded with a practical yoga session where participants practiced various yogasanas and breathing techniques under guidance. The hands-on experience encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines and develop habits that support lifelong well-being.
