Amrita RITE organised a Amrita Bala Kendra summer camp for the village children at the Mothakkara ashram in Wayanad on 29th April, 2017. Around 70 tribal students from Class 1 to 10, from 7 tribal colonies attended the camp.

Prof. Prema Nedungadi of AmritaCREATE, was an invited speaker at the Vatican conference on “Children and Sustainable Development: Challenge for Education”, held November 13-15, 2015 at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences.
