Bio

Dr. M. G. Priya currently serves as Assistant Professor (SG) at the Department of English Language and Literature, Amrita School of Arts, Humanities and Commerce, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus. She is the Chairperson for the Board of Studies of English Language and Literature, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. She was the PGP co-chair of the campus. She was also the Chairperson of the Department of English and Humanities at the Ettimadai campus. She has successfully guided three PhD scholars (one as a Co-guide) and is presently guiding eight scholars in areas of Linguistics and Machine Translation (inter-disciplinary), Ethnographic Study, Positive Psychology and Literature (inter-disciplinary), Bhakti literature, Illness Narratives, Film Studies, Graphic Novels, Food Literature and Psychology (inter-disciplinary).

Dr. M. G. Priya received her PhD in English from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in 2017. She has done her Masters in English Language and Literature from Calicut University and B. Ed. in English from Calicut University. She has 18 years of experience in teaching and 13 years in research.

She has been on the Board of Studies of reputed colleges in Coimbatore and has drafted Question papers for a university in Kerala. She has given invited talks and acted as a resource person in various institutions of Higher Studies.
