Bio

Dr. Mohit Kumar Singh is an Assistant Professor (Level 11) in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati Campus. He has over 10 years of combined academic and research experience, with expertise in high-power microwave devices, metamaterials, metasurface absorbers, beam steering, artificial magnetic conductors, and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS). He earned his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna, where his research focused on high-power microwave devices. He also contributed to a DRDO-sponsored research project. He holds an M.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, and a B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow. Dr. Singh has published several research articles in leading IEEE journals, including IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices and IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science. He is also the inventor of a granted Indian patent titled “A Dual Band Magnetically Insulated Line Oscillator.”

His technical expertise includes electromagnetic and microwave simulation using CST Studio Suite, Ansys HFSS, and MATLAB, along with hands-on experience in vector network analyzer (VNA) measurements. He has also served as a reviewer for several IEEE Transactions journals and international conferences.
