The first year MBA students of Amrita School of Business, Amritapuri, secured third position for best Human Resource team in the annual national level management fest, MANIA SEASON 20, conducted by Institute of Management in Kerala (IMK), Trivandrum. The fest was conducted from December 12- 13, 2017.
A total of 20 members participated in the competition in which a team of 4 members from Amrita School of Business, Amritapuri, won third position for Best Human Resource team. The team members included Ms. Amrita Shibulal, Mr. M. S. Jeevan Das, Ms. Shehnaz Nazeer and Ms. S. Sreepriya, first year management students of ASB, Amritapuri.
The competition had four rounds in which the first round consisted of two parts- solving 40 objective questions and matching given taglines and logos. For this round, four member team of ASB, Amritapuri, split into two in which one group solved the objective questions and other one matched the taglines and logos which were given.
The second round was a treasure hunt competition in which the teams were given a list of 30 items and time of one hour. The team scoured the whole campus to collect the items given in the list and finally ASB team, Amritapuri, collected 25 items within the defined time slot.
The third round was a case study presentation in which the team had to present the case study within 15 minutes time. In this round, out of 4 members, 2 members had read the case study, one prepared the presentation and the other presented and answered the questions from judges.
The final round was a role play. A scenario was given and the team had to enact and find a proper solution for the problem discussed in the scenario and after the presentation the judges had questions for each team.
“It was a great learning experience to each one of us and we now have knowledge on how a management fest would be,” commented the team of ASB, Amritapuri.
