Amrita Center for Research in Analytics & Technologies for Education (AmritaCREATE), Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organised a workshop on Online Labs, an educational initiative pioneered by AmritaCREATE, in partnership with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The workshop was held at Sri Ramswaroop Memorial Public School, Lucknow, on July 2-4, 2018. Two hundred and seventy-eight science teachers attended the training programme.
Rathnam Chenthamarakshan, the Project Coordinator of Online Labs, gave a brief introduction on Online Labs and explained how the experiments work on the virtual platform. After the demo session, an Online Labs hands-on session was conducted for the participants. The program concluded with distribution of Online Labs CDs, discussion and feedback session with the teachers.
The project which was officially launched in December 2015, has reached almost 2 lakh students across the country.
