Amrita Students Develop App to Predict COVID-19 Results Using X-Ray Images

Amrita students Nitin Dantu, Vimalkumar, Dana Vishnu along with their mentor Dr. Shriram K. Vasudevan, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, developed Diagnostix, an app to classify COVID-19 +ve and non-COVID-19 patient X-rays using deep learning algorithms and blockchain.

Amrita Student Team Qualify for Indy Autonomous Challenge Round Two

Amrita student team "Na-Sarathy" from the Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, qualified for round two of the Indy Autonomous Challenge to compete in the world’s first $1.5 million autonomous racecar competition at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 

Amrita Student's Animated Video Based on the Fight Against Coronavirus

Ananthakrishnan T. U., pursuing an M. A. in Visual Media from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysore campus, created an animation video based on the fight against Coronavirus. The characters of the animation video are the superhero Batman and the super-villain Joker. The animation was made under the banner of his own startup named Carmond Infinity. 

Amrita BTech Students Develop Low-cost Face Masks to Fight COVID-19

Making and using protective masks is an effective way to fight against COVID-19 or Coronavirus pandemic. A group of three students, Raj Praveen, Venkadasubramaniyan and Harisudhan, pursuing Mechanical Engineering degrees from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, has developed face masks for fighting against the COVID-19.

Amrita Students Win Prizes at Technology Infusion Grand Challenge, Melbourne

The student teams from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, won prizes at the Technology Infusion Grand Challenge (ITGC) of La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. The Technology Infusion Grand Challenge is meant for solving pressing social problems and this year’s theme was 'Smart City Innovation'.

Aerospace Students Develops a Technology to Convert Single-use Plastics into Useful Products

Mr. Akash Vineet, Mr. Akash Jayakumar and Mr. Abhihas Balaji, students of the Department of Aerospace Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, guided by Dr. Shantanu Bhowmik (Professor, Department of Aerospace Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham), developed a technology to convert single-use plastics into products like floor tiles, roof tiles, etc.

The teams 'Think' and 'f@lc0n', consisting of a six-member each from the semester four B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering B Batch and D batch of the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, emerged as the second runner up in the Reboot Kerala Hackathon 2020.
