The clean-up drive by Amala Bharatham Campaign under Mata Amritanandamayi Math is initiated at Sabarimala as part of the festival of the temple. About 4000 disciples of Amma participated in the drive.
Mata Amritanandamayi Math participated in the cleanliness drive at Sabarimala during the current pilgrimage season. Volunteers from various branches of the Math and members of the Amrita Kudumbam units participate in the drive Amala Bharatam.

The 'Amala Bharatham Sanitation Program' was launched by Mata Amritanandamayi Matt to keep Sabarimala temple and its premises clean and green. Chief minister Oommen Chandy inaugurated a sanitation drive at Sabarimala on November 7, 2011.
