Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore, celebrated the annual Research Day on 16 March 2017. In the event, students from Class of 2017 presented their research accomplishments in the form of posters. Various research activities of the students, pertaining to different specializations of management education – Marketing, Operations, HR, Business Analytics, and Finance – were presented on the day.

​Several industrial veterans visited the campus and evaluated the posters presented by the students. Dr. S. Chandrashekar, Joint Managing Director, Director – Corporate Strategic Procurement, Roots Group of Companies, Coimbatore was the Guest of the Honor. Wing Commander A. Balachandran, Senior General Manager, Corporate Relations, Corporate Industry Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham; and Mr. N. R. Mohanan, Senior General Manager, Career Development, Corporate Industry Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham; were also present for the inauguration.

​“After the summer placements in the companies, our MBA students begin their Business Research Projects (BRP) in their chosen discipline. This provides them a deeper understanding of the subjects they study in the classrooms. Many of them present their research works in national and international conferences. On Research Day, we celebrate such accomplishments of the students,” commented Dr. R. Raghu Raman, Chairman, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore.

“Research is a part of ASB MBA. Emphasizing on research and societal benefits is a part of the mission of the institution. By presenting in them as posters, we are providing an opportunity for all to understand various management researches happening, share the research interest, and thus, offering a wider reach,’ added the faculty Prof. Rajkumar.
