Amrita Members Receive The Sahapedia - UNESCO Fellowship

R., The Directorate of Corporate & Industry Relations (CIR), Amritapuri, secured research fellowships in the Sahapedia-UNESCO fellowship program, held at Delhi, on April 28, 2018.

Four-Day Camp on Leadership Training Programme at Amritapuri Campus

A four-day camp on leadership training programme started at Amrita Vishwa VIdyapeetham's Amritapuri campus on 26th December, 2017.  The camp was jointly organised by AYUDH, the International youth movement of Mata Amritanandamayi Math and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, President of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, inaugurated the camp. World renowned Indian journalist and speaker S. Gurumoorthy conducted a class on leadership training during the camp. Apart from being self-enlightened, one should guide others by one's own belief without thinking about compensation, he said. The camp, designed for leadership training shall contain workshops led by famous people who have proved themselves to be great leaders possessing good leadership qualities, unique training methods, all presented in a fun manner.

Amrita to Organise Sabarimala Cleanup Drive

Mata Amritanandamayi Math will conduct a two-day pre-festival intensive cleaning drive at Sabarimala and Pampa on 11th and 12th November, 2017. The Math has been conducting this cleaning drive for past seven years. Some 1,200 volunteers would be deployed at Sabarimala and Pampa for the drive. Disciples of Mata Amritanandamayi, including foreigners, staff and students from Amrita University will participate in the cleaning drive.

Competition for Youths to be Conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in association with Ayudh, the international youth movement of Mata Amritanandamayi Math, is organising a nationwide competition, "Four Minutes for India", to encourage the youth to put forth their ideas that have the potential to transform the country. The participants are required short selfie video, self-recorded speech, short film or a presentation of four-minute duration to convey their ideas.
