Bio

Dr. Raghunandan Prasad is a highly accomplished and skilled radiologist and interventional radiologist, known for his strong clinical expertise and academic excellence. A committed educator and acclaimed academician, Dr. Prasad received his radiology and interventional radiology training from the prestigious GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, and the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, India. Before joining the Amrita School of Medicine and Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, he served as an Additional Professor in the Department of Radiology at SGPGIMS.

Dr. Prasad has a deep interest in teaching, training, and research. During his tenure at SGPGIMS, he trained numerous fellows in interventional radiology, many of whom are now advancing their careers across India. He has excelled both clinically and academically and has authored several publications in reputed national and international journals.

He has guided and co-guided many postgraduate and DM/MCh students in their MD/DM/MCh theses and research projects, and has served as a primary or co-investigator in multiple research studies and clinical trials. Dr. Prasad is also a frequent invited speaker at national and international conferences and conducts regular online and offline teaching sessions for radiology trainees and physicians from various specialties.

Under the leadership of Dr. Raghunandan Prasad, the Department of Radiodiagnosis at Amrita School of Medicine continues to champion innovation, evidence-based imaging, and patient-centered care while nurturing the next generation of radiologists. The department has significantly expanded its clinical services, research output, and collaborative initiatives, strengthening its reputation as a center of excellence.
