Biosensor Research Laboratory was established with the mission of developing affordable biosensors for the early monitoring of diseases such as diabetes, cancer, coronory diseases, etc. With an experienced team spanning Engineers, Scientists and Physicians coupled with state of the art research facility, the centre is strategically poised for product development and translation into specific products helping improve the lives of patients.
With an experienced team spanning Engineers, Scientists and Physicians coupled with state of the art research facility, the center is strategically poised for product development and translation into specific products helping improve the lives of patients. Over the span of a few years, the lab has developed and fabricated a nonenzymatic glucose sensing strip and glucometer and a Lab-on- a-chip device for the monitoring of diabetes, cholesterol and kidney function. The lab is also involved in the development of sensors and Lab-on- a-Chip device for the early detection of cancer. The other area in which the lab has been working on the paper based microfluidicsystems for the monitoring various diseases.
The Current focus at the center is the development of sensors and Lab-on-a-Chip device for the early detection of cancer. Biosensor Lab has published in reputed journals and books.
Show AllBiosensor Research Lab has been established to provide point-of-care diagnosis by developing affordable and portable devices. With collaborations from medical universities and hospitals.
Show AllDriven by the longing for perfection and excellence, Amrita Biosensor Research Lab's trans-disciplinary team has the ability to advance the effective use of technology to different areas.
