With over 25 years of teaching experience, He currently serve as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai since August 2019.

His academic career includes roles as Professor at Dr. VRK Women’s College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, and S.A. Engineering College, along with Associate Professor and Assistant Professor positions at TJS Engineering College and Jaya Engineering College, where I began my career as a Lecturer in 2001.

In addition to teaching, he has undertaken significant administrative responsibilities, currently serving as the Head of Student Welfare at Amrita, and previously as the Head of the B. Tech CSE (Artificial Intelligence & Engineering) program from June 2020 to February 2024.

He has also earned professional certifications from Cisco Networking Academy and Oracle Academy in Cyber Security, Database Programming with PL/SQL, and CCNA, strengthening my expertise in networking and database technologies.

Additionally, He has contributed to academia through consultancy and content development, working as a Subject Matter Expert with Sakshi Automation Solutions Private Limited in developing course content and video lectures for National Institute of Technology Manipur across subjects such as Data Mining, Big Data, Operating Systems, and Computer Organization. He has also served as an external Subject Matter Expert for M-Tutor, contributing to course content development in Compiler Design, Formal Languages and Automata, and Artificial Intelligence.

Dr. Prasana Kumar serves as a Co-Principal Investigator on an internationally funded research project supported by the Government of Canada🇦.

His project, titled “Quantum-Enabled Radiogenomics for Multimodal Data Inference,” has been awarded a one-year grant of CAD 25,000 under the Alliance International Catalyst Quantum Grants (ALLRP). This work is carried out in collaboration with Prof. Gurjit Singh Randhawa from the School of Computer Science, University of Guelph, Canada.
