Bio

Dr. Arunkumar S. currently serves as Assistant Professor (Sel. Gd.) at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus.

Education

He received his Bachelors of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkur, Karnataka (2006); M.Tech. (Engg. Design) from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (2011), Coimbatore (securing 1st Rank at the university level), Tamil Nadu.

He earned his Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology Madras – Chennai (2016), Tamil Nadu. During his Ph.D., he performed various experiments like high-pressure tests, high-temperature fatigue (both HCF and LCF), high-temperature corrosion fatigue and small specimen tests using MTS servo-hydraulic testing machine (100 kN capacity).
