Dr. Darbha Venkata Ravi Kumar currently serves as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus.
Dr. Darbha Venkata Ravi Kumar obtained his MSc from Andhra University, Vishakapatnam, and Ph. D. in Chemistry from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune (CSIR-NCL, Pune), where he worked on the Design and Development of Microfluidic Continuous Flow Methods for the Synthesis of Nanomaterials. After obtaining his Ph. D. degree in 2013, he joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Yonsei University, Korea, as a postdoctoral fellow and he worked on the One-dimensional Metal Nanowires for Optoelectronic Applications. He has 14 publications in various international journals and a US patent to his credit. Since 2016, he has been working as Assistant Professor (OG) of Chemistry at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. His research interests expand to the areas of Synthesis, Nucleation-growth Kinetics, Anisotropic Noble Metal Nanomaterials, One-dimensional and 2-D Nanomaterials and their applications in various fields. Currently, he is executing a research project funded by DST-SERB.
