Amrita's Programming Contest Showcased in ICPC World Finals 2020 Kick-off at Moscow

In the International Collegiate Programming Contest World Finals 2020 kick-off event at Moscow, on 27 June, 2020, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's ICPC Asia-Amritapuri regional contest was showcased as the largest ICPC site world-wide in the Day Zero symposium presentation by Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapetham, Coimbatore campus.  

This ICPC World Finals Day Zero event was inaugurated by Mr. Alexey Volin, Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Communications & Mass Media of Russia.

Amrita Student Team Emerge as Champions of Scilab Toolbox Hackathon 2020

A student team from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has emerged as the champions of the Scilab Toolbox Hackathon 2020. Seven hundred student teams and startups participated in this hackathon organized by Free/Libre and Open Source Software for Education (FOSSEE) Center of Excellence at IIT Bombay and supported by National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of Ministry of Education, Government of India.  

Amrita Among Top Private Universities in Atal Ranking 2020

Amrita is among the top private universities ranked in the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) 2020. The Ministry of Education has initiated the ARIIA to systematically rank education institutions and universities primarily on innovation-related indicators. The rankings were decided on the basis of six main parameters — Programmes and Activities on IPR, Innovation, Start-up and Entrepreneurship, Pre Incubation & Incubation Infrastructure & Facilities to Support I&E, Annual Budget Spent on Promoting and Supporting I&E Activities, Courses on Innovation, IPR and Entrepreneurship Development, Intellectual Property (IP), Technology Transfer and Commercialisation, Successful Innovation and Start-ups and Funding Innovation & start-ups.

Amrita Student Team Ranked 3rd in Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2020

Coders of Blaviken, a student team from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, was ranked third in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2020 software edition for a problem statement of the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
