Amrita Center for Cybersecurity

A national center, supported by the Government of India's Mission REACH program, the Center has been designated as a Center of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) for Cybersecurity in India.

As a CORE, the Center aims to foster a core group of experts who can help disseminate knowledge about the ever-expanding frontiers of Cyber Security.

Secure data handling, trustworthy storage and interchange, verifiable authentication and certification are important for most industries and organizations today, as they are become increasingly dependent on online information and IT enabled services.

The Center has put forth a systems research and development agenda that is proactive and industry-enabled.

The Center offers an M.Tech. in Cybersecurity and has labs in both Amritapuri and Coimbatore campuses. The innovative curriculum aims to develop professionals who are security-trained and highly aware of contemporary security risks.

The Center conducted an Indo-US bi-lateral workshop in Cyber-Security, Cyber-Crime and Cyber-Forensics, Aug 19-21, 2009. Experts delivered sessions to research scientists, faculty and students from all over the world.
