Job description

  • Amrita School of Business (ASB), Bangalore Campus invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join our academic community, focusing on organisational behaviour, sociology of work, Organisational Sociology, and human Resource Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and lead high impact research on organisational culture, leadership, and social behaviour in workplaces.

  • Explore themes such as identity, diversity, inclusion, and power relations in organisational settings.

  • Apply and advance qualitative and mixed methods approaches (e.g., ethnography, case studies, interviews, coding frameworks). 

  • Design and implement organisational diagnostics and interventions to improve culture, cohesion, and performance.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to grant writing, publications, and industry partnerships.

Required Skills

  • PhD in Organisational Behaviour, Sociology of Work, Organisational Sociology, Human Resource Management, or a closely related discipline.

  • At least one publication in an A ranked ABDC journal (or equivalent high impact outlet such as Scopus Q1).

  • Strong expertise in qualitative and/or mixed methods research; familiarity with tools such as NVivo, Atlas.ti, or advanced coding techniques.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to conduct independent and collaborative research.
