Abstract : THE OCCURRENCE OF malignant ventricular arrhythmias after aortic valve surgery may be a cause of failure to wean patients from cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Electrical cardioversion or defibrillation and antiarrhythmic drugs may fail to treat arrhythmias and establish sinus rhythm.
