  • Dr. K. T. Moly, Principal, Amrita College of Nursing has been awarded the Best Nurse Educator Award along with a cash prize of Rs.1,00,000/- by the Dr. Saith Salma Charitable Foundation on March 17, 2023.
  • Prof. Sreedevi. P. A., Professor & Head, Mental Health Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi, secured Best Scientific Paper Award for the paper titled “Psychological morbidities, parental responses to illness and parental emotional availability among children with functional somatic symptoms- A pilot study” at the 22nd Annual National Conference of Indian Society of Psychiatric Nurses (ISPN) held during February 24 to 26, 2023 at Institute of Nursing Education, Directorate of Health Services, Goa.

  • Dr. K. T. Moly, Principal cum Professor, Amrita College of Nursing was a guest speaker at the International Nurses Day Celebration – 2022 organised by Student Nurses Association, Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, Puducherry on May 11, 2022.

  • Prof. K T MOLY, published the Book ‘Professional Nursing– Questions Authentically Answered’ [CBS Publishers & Distributors Pvt. Ltd] in 2015.
  • Prof. Sreedevi P.A., Professor and Head of the Department of Mental Health Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, bagged first prize in the scientific poster competition in the Second Inter Amrita Research Synergy Day held on May 04, 2018. Her study was on “Depression and it’s risk factors among patients waiting for solid organ transplantation”.
  • Mr. Rajeesh R Nair, Assistant Professor, College of Nursing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, secured best paper award in oral presentation at the 7th International Nursing Conference 2017 – ‘Family Nursing’ – A Futuristic Approach to Health Care.The research paper was entitled “Aggressive behavior among children of alcoholics and non-alcoholics: A comparative study in a South Indian rural village.”The 7th International Conference on ‘Family Nursing’ was held at Akal College of Nursing, Himachel Pradesh on 27th and 28th of October 2017.
  • Mr. Rahul R. presented a paper on Assessment of Health Related Quality of Life Among Liver Transplant Recipients in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and Won the 1st prize.
  • Mr. Deepu Prasad presented a paper on Knowledge, Attitude and Misconceptions about Organ Donation after Brain Death among People Residing in Rural areas in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 2nd Prize.
  • Dr. P. Chitra presented a paper on Living donor and Deceased donor Renal Transplantation; Differences in early outcome at AIMS, Kochi in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 3rd prize.
  • Dr. Lekha Viswanath, presented a paper on Level of Fatigue among Liver Transplant Recipients in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 3rd prize.
  • Dr. P. Chitra presented a poster on Risk factors for morbidity and mortality in paediatric Liver Transplantation at AIMS, Kochi in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 1st prize.
  • Ms. Anjana A P presented a poster on Assess the Stress among Primary Caregivers of Liver Transplant Patients in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 2nd prize.
  • Prof. Anila .K.P presented a poster on Knowledge of caregivers regarding homecare management of patients after Bone marrow transplantation in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 3rd prize.
  • Ms. Shalimol U. S. presented a poster on Lived-In Experiences Of Patients Undergone Kidney Transplant in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 3rd prize.
  • Ms. Linda Varghese presented a poster on Vision related quality of life in patients after Corneal Transplantation in the National Conference on Organ Transplant: Together, Towards Tomorrow organized by Amrita College of Nursing in Collaboration with transplant team, AIMS, Kochi on 20th and 21st November 2015 and won the 3rd prize.
  • Prof. K. T. Moly (Principal) was a Guest of Honour in the Graduation ceremony of students of College of Nursing and College of Pharmaceutical Sciences at St. James Medical Academy Chalakudy on 12th June 2015.
  • Ms. Lekha Viswanath secured Ph.D in OBG Nursing under Nursing faculty from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences & INC National Consortium during the 17th convocation of University held on 25th March 2015. Her title of the thesis is “Effectiveness of a comprehensive nursing intervention package on perinatal outcome of women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus”
  • Dr. P. Chitra have conferred upon the award of Outstanding Faculty for the contribution and achievement in the field of Paediatric Nursing by Venus International Foundation, Centre for advanced research and design based on the VIFFA 2015.
  • Dr. Sunil M. was awarded Dr. MIMS award for Best Health Education Initiative through media instituted by Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences, Kozhikode, recognizing his over all contribution towards health education of the general public through articles and cartoons.The award was received from the Honorable Chief minister Sri. Oommen Chandi on 28th December 2014. The award consists of Rs one Lakh prize money, memento and certificate.
  • Prof. P. Chitra has been awarded Ph.D in Nursing on 21st November 2014. Her thesis title is “A study to assess the efficiency of non-pharmacological intervention to reduce the impact of chemotherapy among children with hematological & solid tumors”
  • Prof. K. T. Moly (Principal) was an External Expert for the Staff Selection Committee for the Selection of Nursing Officer at Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvananthapuram on 08th May 2014.
  • Ms. Anu K. (Lecturer- Medical Surgical Nursing) secured first prize for the poster painting competition on the topic medication safety and won second prize for slogan making competition in relation to the celebration of world safety day held at AIMS on 24th April 2014 by the hospital safety department.
  • Prof. K. T. Moly (Principal) was a Guest of honor for the graduation ceremony & Decennial Celebration of Athena institute of Health Sciences at Mangalore on 27th March 2014 and for the lamp lighting ceremony of Snehodaya College of Nursing, Sacred heart Hospital Pulloor, Thrissur on 20th February 2014
  • Mr. Deepu Prasad. – Prevalence of undetected cognitive impairment of depression among elderly residing in rural areas. International Conference on active aging organized by PSG College of Nursing, Coimbatore on 21st and 22nd January 2014 and secured second prize for the same.
  • Ms. Anu K. won first prize for a poster competition conducted by Fire and Safety department of AIMS on 29th April 2013.
  • Prof. Anila K. P. secured 21th rank for the entrance examination held by National Consortium for Ph. D constituted by INC in collaboration with Rajeev Gandhi University on 20th of January 2013.

  • A state level one-day workshop on “STUDENT ASSIGNMENTS: AN INTROSPECTION FOR BETTER REFLECTIVE CLINICAL NURSING PRACTICE” was organized by VIIIth Batch of M.Sc. nursing students of Amrita College of Nursing on May 25, 2017.
    The initial session was on the “Concepts and Relevance of Nursing Assignments” by Mrs. Sreedevi C.R, Assistant Professor, Govt. College of Nursing, Thrissur. A session on “Assignment on student nurses perception” was taken by Prof. K. T. Moly. Principal, Amrita College of Nursing. A group activity was conducted by five separate groups which included students and teachers.
    The significance of writing assignments for each year of B.Sc. Nursing, drawbacks and role of teachers were discussed in depth. Delegates from different institutions in Kerala participated in the workshop.
  • Students of Amrita College of Nursing won Overall Championship in SNA Sports (Central Zone) conducted at MOSC College Ground, Kolenchery on April 01, 2017. Mr. Gokul G (Third Year B. Sc Nursing) won the individual championship (boys).

Mr Vivek (I Bsc Nursing) won the first prize in fancy dress and Ms. Joel Maria (IV Bsc Nursing) won second prize in solo song in the SNA zonal arts meet of the year 2017.

    • Mr. Joby B has participated as a presenter in the 3rd National Conference of INS-India held at AIMS on 21st and 22nd November 2014
    • Ms.Shania Mathew of second year B.Sc nursing won third prize for the poster painting competition held by department of pulmonary medicine as a part of world Tuberculosis day on 24th April 2014. The theme was fight against Tuberculosis, respect the rules of health.
    • SNA central zone B, zonal level sports competition was held at Govt. H.S.S ,Palakuzha conducted by University College of Nursing, Manimalakunnu on 22nd and 23rd of April 2014 and Amrita College of Nursing won the overall championship.
    • Nine students participated in the SNA State sports competition held at Maharaja’s College ground and YMCA Kadavanthra and our students won many prizes.
    • Students of Amrita College Nursing won the TNAI State Awards (2014) during the Biennial Conference for being the State level Top Scorers of various examinations conducted during the last Academic Year.

    • Four of the B. Sc Nursing students secured Elsevier Gyandeep Excellence in Nursing studies National Scholarship (Ms Aarathy Unni, Ms. Swathy Rajan, Ms. Anu Raj C. and Ms. Reshma C Venu) on 23rd April 2013 . They obtained books worth Rs.5,000/-.
    • Mr. Jibin John of 3rd year B. Sc Nursing & Ms. Ashna Joy of 3rd year B.Sc Nursing secured individual championship for sports competition (Zealous -2013) held from 21st to 23rd March 2013.
    • Ms Lakshmipriya R from third year B. Sc Nursing shared third prize for the campus level gold medal examination held on 15th of March 2013.

  • Krishna Raj K, (1st MSc Nursing Batch ) received Excellence in Nursing Midwifery Award 2017 for registered nursing excellence from Murrumbidgee Local Health District  -NSW Government, Australia.
  • Vaisakh G. (5th Batch MSc Nursing), Clinical Nurse Specialist, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, presented a scientific research study on “Modified Paediatric Early Warning Scoring System for Early Identification of Clinical Deterioration” and secured 2nd position for Oral Paper Presentation in the 18th Annual Conference of Pediatric Cardiac Society of India (PCSI) held at Mumbai during October 28 – 29, 2017.
