Bio

Dr. Subburaj S is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in Mathematics (Data Science) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. He received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University in 2025. His research centers on Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Intelligent IoT systems, and applied Artificial Intelligence, with a focus on real-world problem solving in areas such as smart transportation, healthcare analytics, assistive technologies, and cyber-physical systems.

He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications in Scopus and SCI-indexed journals, including Q1 journals, and leading international conferences. His recent work explores AI-driven sensing systems, sign language recognition using optimized LSTM architectures, quantum reinforcement learning, and deep learning-based classification models.

Dr. Subburaj has served as Co-Principal Investigator and Research Associate on funded projects supported by AICTE and international collaborators, contributing to interdisciplinary research and technology transfer. He actively supervises undergraduate and postgraduate research scholars and promotes industry-aligned innovation through hackathons and collaborative initiatives.

His ongoing research aims to develop scalable, explainable, and socially impactful AI models that bridge the gap between theoretical advancement and practical deployment in emerging intelligent systems.
