Consultant (Scientific Technical Medical/ Non-Medical) at School of Dentistry, Kochi Campus

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the post of Consultant (Scientific Technical, Medical/ Non-Medical) for 3 years to be filled on a contractual basis for working on the “NHRP – ICMR project Digital Technologies for optimizing the continuum of CARE for Diabetes and Hypertension Management in Public Health Care System in India – DIGI-Care – Multicentric Study” at Ernakulam.

Qualifications Essential Qualification:

  • Medical graduate (MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ Nursing etc) with Master’s Degree in Public Health/ MD (Community Medicine)

  • Two to Three years of experience.


Desirable Qualification: PhD in Public Health related subjects
Experience

  • Experience in conducting population studies, planning, and executing community studies, and intervention studies in the field of Public Health.

  • Knowledge of qualitative research and experience in conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), In- Depth Interviews (IDIs), Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), etc.

  • Proficiency in Malayalam Language is essential. 

  • Proficiency in computer applications, data management, report writing, data mining, and working with databases.

  • Minimum of Five original research publications.

  • Age Limit: Upper age limits up to 35 years (maybe relaxed). 

  • Two years of work experience from a recognized institution
Job Description

  • Manage and coordinate multi-centric field studies.

  • Convene meetings and write minutes, coordinating with site and Public Health System in consultation with Project Principal Investigator (PI).

  • Independently initiate and handle public health research data.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the competent authority or the PI of the Project.

  • Tenure for 11 months, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.

  • The position requires local travel within the Ernakulum district and other sites in India.
Salary Up to 70000 Inr/pm Depending on the Experience
