Job Description

  • We are looking for a motivated Postdoctoral Researcher with a strong background in mathematics, particularly number theory, to join our research group and contribute to cutting-edge work in Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).

  • The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in areas such as analytic number theory, algebraic number theory, prime distributions, algebraic structures, number fields, or related areas, and should be interested in applying these mathematical ideas to modern cryptographic problems, especially those connected to quantum-resistant security.

Key Responsibility

  • The primary responsibility of the postdoctoral researcher will be to conduct high-quality research in post-quantum cryptography, with opportunities to work on lattice-based cryptography, code-based cryptography, isogeny-based methods, cryptographic protocol design, and the mathematical foundations of PQC.

  • The researcher will also be encouraged to publish in high-quality journals and conferences, collaborate with national and international partners, and contribute to ongoing research projects in cybersecurity and quantum-safe cryptography.

  • In addition to research, the postdoctoral researcher will be expected to teach one course per semester.

  • Courses will typically be mathematics-oriented and may include Linear Algebra, Number Theory, Discrete Mathematics, Cryptography, or related foundational subjects. 

Skills Required

The candidate should have:



  • Strong mathematical maturity and research ability. Interest in applying number theory to post-quantum cryptography.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research group.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to teach undergraduate or postgraduate courses.

  • Programming experience in Python, SageMath, MATLAB, or similar tools would be beneficial.

  • This position is especially suitable for someone with a deep theoretical mathematics background who wants to transition into impactful applied research in quantum-safe cryptography.
