Prerequisite: Basic Research Methods
Course Overview:
This course is designed to introduce undergraduate social work students to the fundamentals of research in social sciences and social work practice. Students will develop research skills and knowledge necessary for effective social work practice. The course will cover various research methods, ethical considerations, and practical applications in the field of social work.
Course Objectives:
- To introduce students to the basic principles of social science research.
- To develop students’ skills in conducting literature reviews and critically evaluating research.
- To familiarise students with various research methodologies applicable to social sciences and social work practice.
- To provide hands-on experience in designing and implementing a smallscale research project.
- To enhance students’ ability to analyse and interpret research findings in the context of social sciences.
