The course will run as a series of seminars to be presented by the research scholar. The topics for the seminar will be the following.
- Literature survey will be performed on email and Web Phishing detection using machine and deep learning algorithms.
- Recent trend analysis on Phishing attacks and technical tactics used for compromising users.
- Industry solutions to combating against Phishing attacks and the working principles.
- Information and Cyber security framework (NIST) and risk management methodology.
- Implementation of a standard paper for Web Phishing detection.
- Support Vector Machine (SVM), Logistic Regression, Random Forest and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) working principles and limitations for Web phishing.
The performance of the student in the seminar will be evaluated by a panel of examiners to be appointed by the Doctoral committee.
