Job

Fire Protection

• Patrol the campus and identify fire hazards.
• Inspect fire extinguishers and firefighting equipment.


• Assist in testing and maintenance of:
  
  • Fire Alarm System
  • Fire Hydrant System
  • Sprinkler System
  • Hose Reels
  • Fire Pumps
• Ensure emergency exits remain accessible.

Emergency Response

• Respond immediately to fire alarms and emergencies.
• Operate firefighting equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist in rescue and evacuation during emergencies.
• Coordinate with local Fire & Rescue Services when required.

Inspection & Maintenance

• Perform daily inspection of fire pumps and fire water storage tanks.
• Check emergency lighting and exit signage.
• Maintain firefighting equipment in serviceable condition.
• Report deficiencies to the HSE Officer.

Fire Prevention

• Conduct routine fire patrols.
• Monitor hot work activities.
• Ensure proper housekeeping in fire-prone areas.
• Assist in fire safety awareness programmes.

Documentation

• Maintain inspection registers.
• Record equipment inspections.
• Maintain daily duty logbooks.
• Report incidents and observations promptly.
