Qualification BCA, MCA, B.Tech (Preferred but not required): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CCNP, or other relevant networking certifications.
Job description

  • Network Configuration and Maintenance: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Troubleshoot network issues and outages, escalating to senior staff as needed. Perform regular network performance tuning and provide technical support.

  • Network Security: Implement security measures to safeguard network integrity and protect sensitive data. Assist in the development and maintenance of network security policies and procedures.

  • Automation and Scripting: Utilize Python scripts to automate routine network tasks and improve operational efficiency. Develop and maintain network automation tools and scripts.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and procedures. Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and solutions.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless network operations. Participate in cross-functional projects and provide network expertise as needed
Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.

  • Support network security, performance monitoring, incident resolution, and infrastructure upgrades.

  • Develop basic Python scripts for network automation and routine administrative tasks.

  • Maintain network documentation, IP records, topology diagrams, SOPs, and incident reports.

  • Coordinate with IT teams and campus departments to provide effective network support.
