• The Director – Sustainability is a senior leadership position responsible for supporting and advancing the university’s sustainability vision and initiatives.


• Reporting to and assisting the Pro Vice-Chancellor, the Director will play a key role in integrating sustainability across academic programs, research, and campus operations.


• The role focuses on driving impactful environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices while enhancing the university’s reputation as a responsible and future-focused institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and report to the Pro Vice-Chancellor in developing and implementing the university’s sustainability strategy


• Lead and coordinate sustainability initiatives across academics, research, and campus operations


• Support the development and implementation of ESG frameworks, policies, and reporting mechanisms 


• nsure compliance with national and international sustainability standards and regulations


• Promote sustainability-focused research, education, and community engagement 


• uild partnerships with government, industry, and global sustainability organisations


• Drive awareness and embed sustainable practices across the university Qualifications


• PhD in Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field


• Minimum 12 years of experience in sustainability leadership or ESG roles 


• trong understanding of sustainability frameworks, policies, and global best practices


• Experience in leading large-scale sustainability initiatives or programs
