Bio

Balaji Hariharan is  Deputy Director – Research & International Collaborations and Professor at the Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. His areas of research include video and multimedia applications in Wireless areas, software defined networking and Network function virtualization.

Mr. Balaji has nearly 2 decades of experience in the industry– he served as Director at Kasenna, a worldwide Leader in Video-on- Demand Systems and Applications. Prior to that he was in various Engineering and Management positions at National Semiconductor Corporation, USA, Cirrus Logic, Inc, USA and Information Gateways Corporation, USA.

He pursued his B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore and Masters in Computer Science from Temple University, USA.
